Hi

Just positing in case anyone has had any experience of this and can shed some light as feeling very upset and confused.

pregnancy seemed to be going well for a week after my first BFP. Had some implantation spotting around the time of missed period and some mild cramps generally but otherwise felt fine, sore boobs etc.

then yesterday I had cramping on the left side all day, mild but constant. Then had a light dark red/brown spotting in the evening and so went to a+E worried about ectopic.

a+E referred me to EPAU. Went this morning. They couldn’t see anything apart from a haemorrhagic corpus luteum on my left ovary and they also saw some blood in my womb but no sack. They did hcg which was 229 and progesterone was 16.

they’ve told me due to low progesterone this is probably a non viable pregnancy either way so to just do a urine test in a week and let them know. If still positive I guess they’ll scan and do bloods again. If neg it’s a miscarriage.

it seems so hands off to just leave me for a week don’t you think?

I have no pain today and only some light spotting which is brown.

i really have this hope that maybe the pain was the corpus luteum and that the scan was just too early to tell, and that maybe my progesterone will go up?

i don’t know - any positive stories would obviously be wonderful

@Reachingout34 did they discuss giving you some progesterone either via injection or pessary? Xx

I did ask her about that and she said no :(

@Reachingout34 any reason why or just a no?

I think it’s because they couldn’t see the egg sack so they don’t know where it is - it’s pregnancy of unknown location
