Hi to those who are reading this.. just looking for some maybe positive stories if their is any if any of you have experienced the same thing or similar.. so my last period was 8th May which makes me 5weeks&4days today had an early scan to rule out ectopic & previous misscarriages so, a gestational sac was seen(5mm) but nothing else, no fetal pole or yolk sac! Give me a leaflet on pregnancy of unknown location? & also took bloods for HCG BUT, im going out of my mind here as I have just done CBD and it still says "pregnant 2-3"!! which makes 7 days today from when I got my first 2-3.. just don't know what to think or say really apart from it doesn't seem good does it? I know I don't ovulate on day 14 of my cycle, it's later(1st time tracking was last month) soo am I being stupid for wishfull thinking like hoping it's going to turn out OK? Based on the fact I ovulate later & so maybe implanted later?.. considering my history of 3 recurrent losses I just can't imagine it been a positive outcome, I don't know 🤷‍♀️ I don't know i have a shitty feeling now like feel gutted if I'm honest! Thanks 💕

I don't think that's unusual to not see much that early - did they offer a rescan in a week??

don't go by the clear blue they are not reliable x

Totallyconfusedperson · 19/06/2023 21:47

I had three early miscarriages, with my fourth pregnancy, they told me it’s a pregnancy of unknown location and my HCG were nearly doubling but not quite after 48 hours so it could go either way, she’s now a gorgeous little 3 year old. Good luck!!

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 19/06/2023 21:49

@BagelO I finally got 3+ on a digital the next morning after this thread.. and this is why I'm asking for similar experiences etc as from what I had googled at the time so women get to even see a yolk sac & a fetal pole or 1 or the other lol and yes I'm back thus Friday!.. 🤞 x

@Totallyconfusedperson at what gestation did you have an early scan then with your daughter? Congratulations by the way and I'm glad all went well for you! 😁 I'm nervous for this Friday's scan as its like I'm either going to get good news or bad news! x

To be honest I can’t quite remember, I think it was around 6 weeks? The HCG indicated that they should be able to see something but they couldn’t. Obvs found her in the next scan two weeks after but it was an agonising two week wait!!

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 19/06/2023 21:57

@Totallyconfusedperson ohh so you didn't even get to see a sac then? & I can't even begin to imagine what 2 weeks waiting was like for you, I'm struggling with the 1 week wait already!

No they couldn’t see anything in the first scan. Luckily it all worked out ok. Hope it all goes well for you

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 20/06/2023 14:11

@Totallyconfusedperson thanks hun will update on Friday how scan goes.

My daughter had this just a few weeks ago, was handed a card for when she miscarriages. She was devastated. Several scans and lots of tears later.....She is now 12w and all is going well, baby growing as it should be. 🤞

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 20/06/2023 14:50

@kwetu thanks for the response, glad all is well with your daughter 😁

I think that's why so many people recommend you do an early private scan around 7 weeks but of course it's not always easy if you have pain/bleeding/nerves etc.

I'll be thinking of you for your next scan but it does all sound so positive. Big hugs to you x

SCro · 27/06/2023 14:16

Hi,

I paid for an early scan on 8 June and they said I was six weeks, going off the date of my last period I should have been 8. I then started to experience some discharge not blood went to the hospital they did an internal scan and they told me I was just 6 weeks which was worrying as going off the private scan I should now be 8! And my period dates 10 weeks pregnant.

they found a heartbeat told me to go and come back a week later a week later I started experiencing some bleeding but only for a few hours. Went back and tneh have said the baby has only grown 1mm and that they have a guideline of 7mm by now so I should prepare for the pregnancy to not continue and go back again in a week. I know I’m clutching at any glimmer of hope but has anyone had any positive experiences following something similar? I’ve not had any pain or clotting

thanks

Happinessandrainbows · 27/06/2023 14:21

Did you have a rescan OP? X

SCro · 27/06/2023 15:14

Hi yes I have a scan a week today

Whataretheodds · 27/06/2023 19:04

Uncertain viability simply means there isn't enough evidence to confirm viability. That is totally normal at 5 weeks.

Im confused as to why you were given leaflets about unknown location if they saw the gestational sac in the womb - that is a intrauterine pregnancy.

Whataretheodds · 27/06/2023 19:05

Also don't set any store by the clearblue date test.

Doesn't sound as though there's any particular reason to be concerned. It's early days, try to distract yourself.

MummyTo4BoysXXXX · 29/06/2023 09:40

@Whataretheodds that's what left me confused too as to why she gave me that leaflet did nothing but worry & google for a week! but when I went back for my follow up scan got to see a fetal pole, yolk sac & heartbeat 😁 fetal pole measure 3.9mm so she dated me as just under 6weeks!.. but I've worked out must be 4/5 days behind according to lmp so that must of been why I only got to see a gestational sac & nothing else. Obviously i don't ovulate on a typical day 14 of my cycle x

Hi There,

Thank-you for sharing your story.

I am currently in very similar situation. Went for scan as had bleeding told 6 weeks 2 days but from my last period should be 9 weeks 2 days.

There was a weak heart beat so have some hope, however did get lots of info about Pregnacy with Uncertain Viability.

Bleeding started as brown discharge and have had some red fresh blood but not conisistently throughout the day.

We have a rescan next week to see if heart beat is any stronger.

Really appreciate your thoughts 💗

Ah that's brilliant to know. Glad everything ended up ok. Thank you. Yeah I had an early bird appointment on the Sunday and they took some bloods and a urine sample. I've got my first midwife appointment on 24th March aswell so I'm just waiting for that aswell. Yeah seeing what they saw is better than nothing definitely. Thank you for commenting 😊 x
