HCG level at 5 weeks

I’ve just hit 5w2d in my first pregnancy after nearly 18 months of trying.

I have had consistently strong pregnancy test results, with clear blue digital showing 1-2 weeks at 3w5d, 2-3 weeks at 4w3d, and 3+ weeks at 5w.

I had a bHCG test at 5 weeks and have had the result come back today, at only 1716mIU/mL.

I know this is in the “normal range” for five weeks, but so many other threads have BHCG results much higher than this at five weeks.

Has anyone got any experience with levels around this point at 5 weeks and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

I have so much anxiety over this pregnancy. After waiting so long, I feel like it’s all going to be snatched away from me at any moment…

Any advice or info is greatly appreciated!

Your level is absolutely fine, it's within clinical range (and actually not low down in the range either!). The important thing is the increase in HCG, not the base level. So you can't tell anything until you have another HCG test to check that it's increasing at the correct rate. Don't compare your pregnancy to anyone else's - it'll only stress you out more. I 100% understand your anxiety - it took 3 years for me to get pregnant (sadly lost that one to a missed miscarriage). All you can do is stay as healthy as possible, and take one day at a time x
