Good morning. Don’t suppose anyone else has or had a cervical polyp? At 8 weeks I had quite a bit of brown blood and clots I was sure it was a MC but when I got to see the dr they could see it was a cervical polyp it settled down and after a few days was ok. Last week at 12 weeks I went to the toilet and had a fish of bright red blood it lasted a minute or so then went to brown gunge again I was at the hospital the next day for a cervical stitch as I have an incompetent cervix the stitch went in fine they had a good look at the polyp and decided it was safest to leave it as removal may trigger preterm Labour as it goes slightly up into my cervix, it had a good bleed when they were placing the stitch and now it just won’t settle about every 5 days it gushes with blood for about a minute then goes brown with clots stays like that for 5 days then gushes blood and starts again . My consultant and he is one of the top if not the top in the country says that my polyp even though the blood is awful it’s highly unlikely to affect the pregnancy it’s just a massive inconvenience. I made the stupid mistake of googling it and they spout some doom and gloom it’s just taking a massive toll on my mental health. I’ve been bed resting this last week due to having my stitch in and even that doesn’t stop it from gushing blood. I think I just need to have a vent as I’m only 14 weeks and it just feels like we won’t make it xxx
