I am currently 8 weeks pregnant but miscarried in march. I am very nervous and can’t stop thinking the same will happen again. My boobs have been sore all week but hardly anything today but my armpits are hurting. I have no other symptoms as such few days of feeling sick but not being sick is this normal

Its really hard I know. I'm just over 6 weeks but had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in January. I'm filled with anxiety but just keep telling myself nothing is wrong until its wrong and trying to remain positive and just take it one day at a time.

I also don't have any symptoms other than my nipples are a bit sensitive. From what I've read on here its perfectly normal to have no symptoms but I totally understand it does make you feel like something's wrong. In fact, I'm at work right now and overheard my colleague telling another colleague that her friend (who is 20 weeks) has had no sickness throughout and had she not done a a test, would not know she was pregnant! I'm sitting here earwigging and its music to my ears!

What are your thoughts on going for an early scan?

SophL123 · 15/06/2023 12:24

I went for a scan on last pregnancy I was 6 weeks and 6 days seen the heart beat so knew bby was there then when I started bleeding at 9 weeks the baby’s heart beat had stopped at 7 weeks and 3 days I am wondering wether to go for a scan but then I’m thinking do I just sit tight and like you said think nothing is wrong until it’s wrong. I think actually seeing the heart beat made the miscarriage worse if that makes sense. I’ve been having loads of head aches dizzy spells and so tired but also read that all that is common so do I just hold tight stop googling everything. Thankyou for the reply makes me feel more settled xx

This is exactly the reason I'm not going for an early scan. I would be more devastated if everything was fine then later it turn out not to be. I know that sounds pessimistic but its self preservation! I'm just going to wait and whatever will be will be.

What your experiencing sounds like some classic pregnancy symptoms so I'd really try not to worry, I know its easier said than done though! But yes stay off Google too!

Apparently headaches are common with the rising levels of HCG you would never say I already have two kids but I really can’t remember what I felt like on them. As I suffer with hypertension I just keep worrying about everything. I’m definitely going to stay off Google it’s making me worry more. Yes having the early Scan definitely made the miscarriage worse x

Feeling sick without being sick is a common symptoms. Try to eat little and often, have some biscuits by your bed to eat 1st thing. Stay hydrated and try not to get overtired.
