7 weeks pregnant and all symptoms have gone

Hi, just as the title says I am 7 weeks pregnant and very early on felt quite exhausted, sore boobs and had a couple of days of feeling very dizzy and faint a week or so ago, but since then I have had no symptoms at all. Is this something to worry about or has anyone had similar? I have my first appointment next week. Is it worth taking another test beforehand?

Every pregnancy is a bit different . If you think another test would make you feel easier, then do it.

My symptoms subsided around this time and it meant absolutely nothing at all . So don’t worry, but do a Test aand give yourself some certainty

Whataretheodds · 14/06/2023 19:21

At this stage I don't think a POAD test can give you certainty, sorry.

I know it will feel worrying but this doesn't mean anything is wrong. Is your appointment for a scan?

Whataretheodds · 14/06/2023 19:24

POAS not POAD

lou9393 · 14/06/2023 19:27

@Whataretheodds my appointment isn't for my first scan yet, just blood pressure etc and speaking to the midwife team from what I gather when I spoke to them on the phone to book

@Alongtimelonely thank you, that's reassuring

My first pregnancy I had very little in the way of symptoms.

Only really was sick when the heartburn started at about 25 weeks.
The result of that pregnancy is now 5.

I had similar with my second pregnancy, I doubted whether I'd ever had a positive test or if I'd imagined it as all my symptoms went at about the same time as you. They came back with a vengeance in second trimester with morning sickness, heartburn and sciatica though!

I am 7+2 and since week 7 my symptoms have significantly decreased. They are still there, sore boobs - but really only in the evenings now when I am exhausted. I only had nausea for 2-3 days during week 6 and nothing since. I cant say whether it is a good or a bad sign, I too do not have an appointment until next Friday when I'll be 8+3, but I am definitely experiencing the same thing.
I was considering doing another test, but I think it could just cause me more stress than its worth, as I have read about hook effect, so i decided against testing.

A pregnancy test won’t tell you anything I’m afraid and has the potential to stress you out more.

Some women don’t have many symptoms at all, and symptoms to come and go so don’t worry

BagelO · 15/06/2023 11:07

I am not sure the sticks will tell you much - hcg blood test or even better , a reassurance scan if you can get a private one maybe?
I don't think it means much personally as symptoms are just all over the place for everyone 😁

Thanks all! @User22 that's reassuring that you sound in a very similar situation, at least it's nice to know I'm not the only one experiencing this right now.

@BagelO I did take a look and local-ish to me I could get an early scan for around £180, although my partner didn't seem to think it would be necessary and to just wait for the 12 week scan.

I'm 6+2 and not really had any symptoms yet apart from my nipples feeling a bit sensitive and sore lower back (which I always seem to have)

I had a miscarriage in January and had no symptoms then either so lack of symptoms does worry me! But from what I've read on here it seems to be quite common.

What was everyone’s outcomes x
