I'm 36 weeks and my baby girl has been breech all the way through I've had a presentation scan today and the consultant has said baby has flipped head down but is not engaged so I'll need another scan in 2 weeks to see if she's flipped again 🫥 I'm jist wondering if this has happened to anyone and if their baby has flipped back to breech or stayed head down? Is she more likely to turn back breech if she isn't engaged? Any information would be great thank you x

Same happened to me and she flipped round at 37 weeks and didn't turn back again, I think it can happen but would be very unusual at this stage to turn back to breech xx

Mine flipped from breech to head down as well and stayed there. He wasn't given much of a chance to flip back though as I was induced 2 days later, and he was born 5 days after that.

I should also mention he didn't engage at all until he was forced to at the ARM stage of the induction (37+5, the day before birth). My first was the same, albeit cephalic from 36 weeks (born at 37+1). My babies like to ride high until their waters get taken away from them apparently.

Thank you! I've spoke with my midwife this evening and she's said cause the baby isn't actually engaged there's a good chance she'll turn back breech and if my waters break I'll need to head straight to the hospital in case of cord prolapse 😱 good to read your comments though gives me hope x
