I'm 38+4 with my third baby here! Midwife came round and checked my stomach.. she said babies head isn't engaged! This might be why I don't feel pregnant lol I'm so close now !!

When did everyone else's baby engage?

With your first it can be a couple of weeks before but with subsequent pregnancies it’s very normal for the head to move in and out of your pelvis as it’s already widened. My second didn’t engage until labour

Also 38+4 today with a child who will not engage so not feeling remotely ready for Labour or like my body is gearing up for it any time soon! When I remember that I could still have another 3 weeks or so until they arrive, it makes me feel better. Midwives not bothered at all but, when I asked what would help, they just advised staying UFO - upright, forward and open. As a PP has said, with subsequent pregnancies it’s far less likely they will until the very end due to the extra space they have. Good luck!

Sometimes not until you're in labour!

IME when a midwife forces them into my pelvis, while another jabs an amniotomy hook through my cervix to break my waters, whilst I huff on gas + air like it's going out of fashion.
