Pain in abdominals

Hello, this is my first post, but I've been lurking for a few weeks now, and find the information I find on Mumsnet invaluable!

The problem I have is a recurrent pain in my abdominal muscles about 1-2 inches to the left of my belly button.
I'm 30 weeks now, but this started around New Years. I did ask my midwife in early January, and she told me its a normal thing, but it concerns me that it's always in the same position. I can't feel anything sticking out like a hernia, and from what I've read it's not round ligament pain.
I'm going to bring it up again at my next midwife appointment, and am going to buy a bump suppot belt, but can anybody advise as to whether this does sound normal?

Thanks.

xx

I had all sorts of aches and pains on one side of my bump all through my pregnancy.

There are lots of ligaments and muscles under all sorts of strain, so it does sound normal I'm afraid, but talk to your MW again

Join in with the Ante-natal thread for your due date and I'm sure you'll find several women who have the same problems and can help to reassure you a bit

congratulations on your pg, and welcome to mumsnet

Thank you, I'll have a look at the Ante-natal clubs.

I'm pretty sure the pains just normal ligament pullage, it's just the fact that it never moves that has me concerned and poking for hernias. Always something to worry about, eh?
