Hello all! am 28+1 and i am going insane due to itchy nipples!! they are driving me bonkers! i suffer from eczema and i think in this pregnancy that's where it's decided to flare up- or maybe it's because my nipples are just so much more sensitive and "pesky" iyswim. anyway, i find it soooo hard not to scratch furiously, have already managed to get them infected once, i am since being much more careful but i wonder if anyone else shares this affliction and if you have any handy tips? i think wearing a bra 24/7 does not help but unfortunaltey boobs too big/sore not to wear a bra at night...

Hi. Someone on my antenatel thread suggested rubbing olive oil on them. You have my sympathies, hope someone more knowledgeable than me offers you some help soon!

Are you leaking milk a bit? Maybe getting damp. My first instinct would be to try and have them in the air as much as pos - def in bed if you can bear it. Maybe try a breastfeeding bra opened if you really can't bear to go without some support...?

I can sympathise Mine itched all the wat through both pregs, I found cocoabutter helped, or wheatgerm oil. I hope this helps you.

My boobs are itching.

I should emphasize - due to pregnancy!!

HarrietTheSpy what a great name, loved that book (and loved even more that she had red hair like me )

Mine are really itchy and flaky too, did this in last preg as well. Cotton bra and a good oily moisturiser really helps. On occasion though I have been known to get the scrubbing brush on them in the shower, very gently I might add and just on the very "nip" bit on the end. Bliss.

Mine too...am going slowly mad trying not to scratch. Make sure you don't wash them with soap, and oil them up as often as possible.

get some lansinoh on them, really worked for me.
