First trimester sharp pain when sneezing

I’m currently 7 weeks… Or maybe 6 weeks based on my early scan (we went last week thinking we were 6w5d and they measured at 5weeks and too early for a heartbeat, rescan in 2 weeks & hoping for good news)…

I have noticed over the last week when I sneeze, and even more so when I hold the sneeze in to not make too much noise… I get a sharp pain - not in the middle but on each side like in the ovary area. It lasts for literally 5 seconds. Google says “round ligament pain” but that this isn’t usually experienced until second trimester.

I wondered if anyone has had the same this early on? Does this sounds like round ligament pain or something else I should get checked out?

In my experience (six pregnancies) round ligament pain was my first symptom and happened from before four weeks.

@TheSnowyOwl thank you for sharing. Was the pain either side or more in the middle?

Sneezing pain was the first symptom for me too! Was further down into my hips on each side but debilitating painful if I’d been stretched out or relaxed beforehand. Tensing beforehand tended to make it a little easier. Definitely understand why you’re scared and something to mention to midwife if you’re worried, but likely absolutely fine.
