Does this mean an inevitable miscarriage? Everything I read online is heavily caveated. It says things like, "a decrease in HCG USUALLY means the pregnancy is not viable", or "will PROBABLY end in miscarriage". I'm wondering what the alternative is, because I've never heard of declining HCG being anything but bad.
I am currently on progesterone and I don't want to stop taking it unless a miscarriage is absolutely inevitable. I also don't want to keep taking it (to prevent me from miscarrying) if miscarriage the only outcome, because that could risk an infection etc. Basically, do I stop taking it or not? If declining HCG means an inevitable miscarriage, then I will stop taking it and allow a miscarriage to happen. But if there is any hope, then I'll keep going.
