I have just discovered I am pregnant and petrified! I had an ectopic pregnancy in January with right tube removal and it really scared me. I took the choice to wait a few months and started trying last month, I didn’t think it would happen this quickly but also not sure what to do next! My partners very happy but I’m just scared.

Does anyone know what to do next I’m still a little in shock!

Congratulations and so sorry you went through such a traumatic experience.

I would go to have blood tests to see if HCG rises normally and book an early scan around 6 weeks to confirm pregnancy is intrauterine.

Fingers crossed!

Hi Congratulations and so sorry for what you went through. If you loase with your doctor they should know about your history and automatically send you for bloods /early scan. Xxx good luck

Hello,

Huge congratulations.

I had very similar, ectopic September and I found out I was pregnant in the December.

I had to go for an early scan around 6 weeks to check pregnancy was in the right location.

I called my local maternity office and they arranged this all for me.

The wait was horrid and I was so anxious!

This was last Saturday and I thought I’d check if the lines are any darker this week! And they seem to be! Also says 2-3 on CB digital!

I have a scan on the 26th after some pestering of EPAU after the doctor told me they wouldn’t check unless I had symptoms, But EPAU reassured me and booked in the scan! Dreading it but starting to feel the sickness and tenderness now also darker test I’m feeling more confident! I didn’t get a 2-3 reading until I was 7weeks with the ectopic unfortunately that same day I’d ruptured. Thank you all for your help!

Hi,
Sorry to hear you've been through a ruptured ectopic, I went through the same last year and was terrified just like you when I found out I was pregnant again. Glad to hear you're having a scan, but just to warn you, you may not get confirmation either way if it is early days (say 6 weeks or less). I was booked in for a scan when I think I was six weeks and they couldn't confirm, I also had some light bleeding so convinced myself it was ectopic again. But they told me to go back a week later and I was told everything was in the right place and looking good, I'm now 38 weeks! Good luck, really hope it works out for you x

Thank you, I’m definitely ready for the it’ll be too early and nothings showing conversation, I mean I’ve not had a good scan so I’m prepared for the worst, I’m just wanting to confirm it’s not in the tube more than anything I don’t think I could mentally handle another! I will be just over 6 weeks so crossing my fingers! Thank you so much and congratulations I hope your well xx
