Baby measuring small

Hello, has anyone got any experience with doctors potentially getting your due date wrong and then being told your baby is measuring too small for their dates? I was tracking my ovulation with sticks and temp and had been doing for months. When I fell pregnant and went for a private early scan (at 9 wks) my ovulation date matched up perfectly with the date I was measuring at. Then at my 12 wk scan baby was in a very awkward position up against my hip bone and the sonographer struggled to measure baby accurately. The measurements came out about a wk ahead of what I had as my due date previously but we didn't argue it at this point. Then, at my private gender scan the baby was in a much better position and they dated me back to my original date. At 20 wks, the hospital told us she was measuring small and her head was below 3rd centile (we think because they had the dates nearly a week ahead of what they actually are). Since then, we've had multiple scans under fetal medicine because they're saying she's small. The first midwife we saw said it didn't matter what the early scan dates were because the 12 wk scan is most accurate, but ours wasn't because of the position. We are now having to have weekly scans, she's growing at a good rate.. still small but not below 3rd centile anymore (and definitely not if you calculate it all with my original dates) has anyone got any experience of this and putting your foot down about going with your date and not the 12 wk scan date? Every week I sit in that hospital feeling sick with worry for over an hour after my scan before they call me through to say she's catching up even more but they still want to see me again.

Have you looked to see what centile she’d be on with your due date? I don’t think 1 week would make much difference to be honest so it’s good that they are being cautious.
