Please send help!!

I am 6 weeks pregnant and have a 14 month old DD. I'm struggling so much already with the fatigue and I don't know how to cope in the day and I feel awful for not giving my DD enough attention. I've spent most the day today on the sofa while she plays with her toys and watches some TV! My DH usually gets home around 6pm and by that time she is asleep.

Any tips? Or advice?

I also work 3 days a week which can sometimes involve 12 hour shifts.

I can't cope!!

If your DD is happy to play with her toys I wouldn't worry. Sometimes you got to do whatever you need to do! If any consolation, I found the first few months the worst and it got easier after that. Hope this is the case for you! Hang on on there!

@Marlena1 Thank you, I really hope so! Just feel a little bad for not interacting as much as I usually do, but she seems happy enough. Yes that second trimester can't come soon enough.

I’m having the same. I’m 20 weeks with an incredibly active 2 year old. Actually finding it much harder now than I did in the first trimester.

I’m 14 weeks and having the same, and it’s so hard but honestly it’s something just to get through however you can. I try to take my toddler out to soft play or the park where she can run around and burn off energy so when we get home I can rest on the sofa for a bit. I’m using the tv more than I should too.

i feel you OP. I have a 14 month old and I’m 32 weeks pregnant on Tuesday. All I’ll say is thank god for nursery and me WFH. I sometimes book a day here and there just to rest.

It does get better. You’ll get more energy within the next 6 weeks. In the mean time can you ask anyone to help out with DD for the day? So you can rest? X

@Overthebow that's a good idea! My little one isn't quite walking yet, so I'm still picking her up everywhere which is not helping matters.

I have asked my Mum for a day off next week so very much looking forward to that. She does not start nursery for another couple of months, that will definitely help.

Same here, just gone 3 year old and almost 16 weeks pregnant. The heat has finished me off today.

I take the chance on the weekend when husband is around more to nap. He finishes about 4.30pm so have also been napping then some days. It's getting better now. Also work 3 days x

No advice but in the same situation. I'm around 9 weeks pregnant and have an 18 month old to run around after and trying to run a business 🙈
Hopefully our energy levels will pick up because its currently exhausting 😴
