HCG rising but not doubling

Hi,

Not sure if anyone can answer this question?
On Tuesday I had a scan as unsure of dates… could see something in the uterus but also something “to the right”.
No pain/bleeding etc

They took bloods and called me later with result 837
Ive had them repeated today and they are 1200 (and something)… so they have risen by a chunk but not doubled.

The nurse who rang said “it’s not good news” but that she was going to speak to Early Pregnancy Consultant in the morning to see what course of action will be.
This might be that I’m pulled in for another scan tomorrow or possibly more bloods on Saturday and that it’s very possible to be ectopic.

Its been a rollercoaster week honestly with a DH who hasn’t wanted me to progress with the (very surprise) pregnancy, and just as I get right in my mind that I’m doing this regardless I’ve had this added curveball.

So yeah can anyone give me some hope?

Whilst they aren't doubling i think there's a clear jump so hopefully they are just being cautious x

I think there's still hope. There's been a good increase. HCG rates don't always double uniformly every 48 hours. My hcg doubled every 48 hours with one of my ectopics. With my next pregnancy they were closely monitoring me and my hcg wasn't doubling. They admitted me to hospital and told me it wasn't viable. Happily that wasn't the case and I had a successful pregnancy. I hope it's the same for you!

Hello! We are having very slow rising (about 18%) hcg and are in limbo at the moment unsure what the outcome will be. The statistics say it’s going to be non viable but we are looking for any glimmer of hope! Can I ask what type of rises you had ? I’m so happy to hear you did have a successful pregnancy! Thank you
