I am currently 29 weeks with second pregnancy, high risk due to previous pregnancy. Sorry if this is TMI but google isn't helping!

Over the last week I've found a large bulge that comes and goes not on my vagina but next to my vagina on my 'normal' skin'. It appears when I'm standing too long or sitting funny and isn't painful however I've noticed now when im going for a wee and it's there it's really hard to pass urine and I have a funny pressure feeling there. Im not sure if the two are linked as it isn't on my vagina it's the normal skin next to if, it that makes sense.

I'm not sure if it's normal, needs looking at and if it does by who, a doctor or a midwife? I'm also worried about getting it checked as sometimes it isn't there so there would be nothing to see? Isn't pregnancy beautiful! Hmm

I would see the GP. Have you looked at information on hernias and prolapses? Are you overweight?

Prolapse. Speak to your midwife.

Midwife here, when you say the skin next to it, do you mean the perineum? So the piece of skin in between your vaginally opening and the anus? The fact you're struggling to pee, and have a feeling of heaviness coupled with a bulge, indicates a possible prolapse, and I would speak to your GP/midwife who may need to refer your for further investigation. If you haven't already do start your pelvic floor exercises!!!

Could it be a varicose vein, if not too large? Agree a trip to the doctor is necessary.
