Hi...
Please help and send any pregnancy sickness remedies you've experienced! I'm 6 weeks and it's hit hard. All day nausea.. no actual sick but heaving and wretching. Feel like constantly hungover.
I've done the usual crackers ginger etc but wonder if anyone had some really good remedy!
I just started a new job last week can u believe so I think anxiety doesn't help! Have to pretend everything is fine and normal!

Lemon helped me massively. Lemon flavoured drinks, also sour sweets. I'm 24 weeks and still have days of nausea and wretching.

If things don't improve l would ask the GP to give you something. However, by 2nd trimester things are supposed to settle down

@Mumlyf1986 my first 16/17 weeks were terrible, only thing that helped me was medication. Hope it passes soon for you

I had this and no amount of ginger or lemon worked! It was nausea for me for the first 14 weeks, then again weeks 16-18 then it went. I ended up with tablets from my GP incase it got too bad but I never ended up taking them. I found what helped me was constant grazing/snacking. I couldn't look at cooking or proper meals, so just used to have something savoury to snack on. My work colleagues for my birthday got me a gift bag filled with nature valley bars, Pringles, all sorts and I could have cried with happiness!

My diet wasn't great either. I wanted plain things, carbs mainly, and would eat plain chips or crisps - told the midwife and expected her to railroad me but she told me it didn't matter what I was eating as long as I was eating something.

Savoury snacking is your friend

Eat little and often, as you’ll feel worse when you’re hungry.

Find sweets that taste the weird taste in your mouth away - fizzy/sour ones work for me, but experiment.

Old fashioned fruity boiled sweets and just accept your teeth are going to rot. It's hideous, huge sympathy.

I'm 9 weeks and I've felt sick all day for the last 2 & a half weeks. I've been sick every evening this week too nothing seems to help me at the moment 😞 hoping it will pass soon. I do find eating meals is the worst I'm sick pretty much straight away so I would say little and often

I find that tiredness makes it much worse so try to get plenty of sleep/rests/naps as well as making sure you eat little and often.
