Kids want to go to 4dx for their birthday, I'll be 13 weeks pregnant. Would you go ? I've been before (not pregnant). I know what to expect just wondered what other people's thoughts on going are.

From their safety site:
"If you are pregnant, elderly, physically or mentally sensitive or have any of the following health conditions, you should not use a 4DX auditorium: high blood pressure, heart conditions, allergies, neck or back conditions, epilepsy, motion sickness or other conditions that could be aggravated by the 4DX equipment."

At 13 weeks I'd imagine baby is small and well cushioned, but if visibly pregnant they might not let you in.

From my own experience- the movement of the chair is minimal, at most a bumpy car ride at parts, so I would say ok
given you’re not high risk, otherwise healthy - but its (as anything a small risk)
however, some 4D cinemas have chairs that don’t move, depending on how old are the other kids you could take a stationary seat and they seat in front on moving chairs - that would be the safest bet

Thanks for replying. I'm on the fence about it still, I can't see why it's much different to running or playing with the kids in the park or garden in early pregnancy. It's not a rollercoaster as such. I get from a safety point of view they don't want heavily pregnant ladies in there but do worry about the tiny baby being shaken around. Oh I might have to leave the kids to it. It will be their first time and I just didn't want to miss out on that experience with them. I'm taking them to a theme park too and I've got to stand and watch that too haha. The kids don't know I'm pregnant either and usually I am the one that takes them to these things and on rides so running out of excuses as to why not this time.

Meh, at that early on I'd probably go.
