congratulations on pg biglips

you vomit whatever is in your stomach, be it undigested food or bile

nailpolish · 21/02/2008 09:29

ms is your hormones causing you to be nauseus and vomit. its nothing to do with whats in your stomach

lollipopmother · 21/02/2008 09:30

If you're throwing up in the morning before you've eaten something then that's all that will be in there. I've found out that I was totally wrong to think that your stomach churns up your food, it just doesn't seem to be true because my pudding always comes out first, then my main, and then anything else!!

biglips · 21/02/2008 09:33

thanks and yes i do throw up first thing before i eat anything as it happened this morning and a few weeks ago as i know i feel off before i even think of having my brekkie.

so bile and ms are 2 seperate things then.

biglips i dont understand what you mean

are you talking about morning sickness? thats just an expression for feeling nauseus and vomiting during pregnancy, caused by pregnancy hormones. it can happen at any time of the day, not just morning. bile is what you are vomiting because that is the contents of your stomach at that precise moment.

nailpolish · 21/02/2008 09:36

when people say their stomach is 'empty' - your stomach is never 'empty' - it always has some 'bile' (digestive acids and other things) in it. the stomach is n ot just an empty bag

biglips · 21/02/2008 09:41

well it had happened twice in first thing in the morning and i feel better after it. The bile sick started since ive been pg. Maybe it just summat thats not agreeing with my stomach and is making me sick.

So i dont really know any further!

Morning sickness ... and absolutely horrible! I found it happened to me any time of day, regardless of whether or not I'd been eating. Nothing worse than vomiting bile. Hope it eases soon.

biglips · 21/02/2008 09:44

biglips

you have mroning sickness regardless of whats in your stomach. you will vomit food if thats whats in your stomach, you will vomit bile if thats what in your stomach

ms has nothing to do with what youve eaten or not

biglips · 21/02/2008 09:47

there are no rules to morning sickness. you can ahve it any time of the day, despite it being called 'morning' sickness. you can also have it numerous times a day. any number of days a week. and for any length of time.

i think its common for it to die off in the 2nd trimester though

hopefully that means you wont have it too much longer

macaco · 21/02/2008 10:31

It can start any time (6 weeks for me) and be vomiting of food or bile or anything you've consumed and come with nausea or not. It can be nausea alone. You can be sick any time and any number of times or just once. It can change, mine got worse then better then worse and then suddenly the puking stopped one day at 13 weeks and the nausea continued for another 3 weeks. If you're pregnant and puking bile or food or anything (I always puked bile first thing) then it's known as morning sickness. Hope it passes soon.
