Changing Midwife

Without going into too much detail, we've had a bad experience today which resulted in us missing and having to rebook our 12-week scan. This is mostly the fault of our midwife, so I want to change (in an ideal world I'd change hospitals entirely but we don't have a lot of choice). For people who have done this, how did you go about it and did it cause any complications?

Do you have a specific midwife? For my first, I just booked in the next appointment whenever was most convenient, regardless of who it was with.

@RightWhereYouLeftMe Yeah I've been assigned a specific midwife, she told me at my first appointment that she would be my midwife through the pregnancy.
