Where do you feel your baby's movements?

I cannot for the life in me work out how my baby is lying so thought I'd ask on here re other people's experiences of where they feel/felt their baby's kicks/movements and which way round they were lying.

For context I'm now 34 weeks pregnant, I have my next midwife apt tomorrow so will see what she thinks. At 31 weeks baby was oblique, almost transverse, I've a feeling she hasn't moved much but I can't feel her head obviously anywhere, I get my kicks on the right hand side kind of parallel to my belly button and downwards into my left hip.

For those whose baby was head down at 34 weeks could you tell? Did it feel like baby's head was down? Where did you experience your kicks? Iv a feeling maybe her head is a little wedged ontop of my left hip as it can feel quite uncomfortable there sometimes and I don't feel anything on my bladder or pushing on my cervix.

I know it doesn't mean much yet and either way she has time to move I'm just curious to know what others are experiencing/have experienced.

Thanks in advance Smile

Hey, my baby was oblique too at 31 weeks (I’m 33+2 now so just behind you). He was transverse, I have placenta previa which they said was stopping his head dropping down into pelvis but the fact he’s oblique now I’m hoping means the placenta is starting to shift!

Mine is lying opposite to you though with his head wedged on my right hip…..I know when he is properly wedged because out of nowhere my right leg goes completely numb when he punches a nerve. I find it really hard to suss out where he is exactly too. Most of the big movement is in line with my belly button or occasionally just under the ribs and I get some small popping/scratching movements really low down which midwife said was his hands. I get a bit of a flat section under my ribs too, usually in the mornings above the bump. No pressure on my bladder either.

interested to see if your little one has moved from oblique at your appointment tomorrow! My 34 week appointment is in a weeks time so I’ll ask midwife if he’s moved and I have another ultrasound at 36 weeks to see if my placenta is finally playing ball.

I'll let you know what she says in my midwife appointment today I'm the type of person who likes to know these things and an midwife led so no extra scans so it drives me mad haha
