The Big C

Hi all,

the big C being constipation. I don’t know whether what I’m experiencing is normal or not, apologies for the over share…

I am usually very regular, twice a day type of person. Since suspecting I was pregnant 2 weeks ago, I have barely been.

i’m getting mild cramps and back ache on and off, not always related to bowel movements, but going to the loo seems to make it go away.

Last night I woke up with quite intense cramping, was on the loo, very hot and clammy, I ended up being sick, but as soon as I’d ‘been’, the cramping went within minutes. Today I feel totally fine cramp wise but I still have the constant ‘full’ feeling.

I’m only 5 weeks pregnant, is this normal constipation or does this sound abnormal?

Thanks

Totally normal. I am 8+5 and having the same issues. I don't want to take anything medicinal so I'm drinking orange juice, eating prunes and apricots and as much fibre as I can face xx

I'm taking psyllium husk - it came as part of a package of supplements I purchased

Thanks ladies. Does it really hurt you both? Like last night I was like, is this a miscarriage? I was sweating!

I haven't had it badly tbh but straining wasn't enjoyable and I've got a history of blood clots so don't want to be squeezing and straining more than is absolutely necessary! Sorry you're suffering with it.
