Sorry for such a stupid question. I am 25 weeks and have had some bright red bleeding today and I cannot get hold of my midwife- I have been getting her answerphone all day and she has not rung me back. I have just had a bath and have some pains low down. In these cicrumstances is it ok to ring the labour ward for some reassurance?

Go to the hospital and get yourself checked out! If you don't you will be worrying about it constantly and it's better to be over cautious than ignore what your body is telling you. They won't think you're wasting their time and they will be able to make a much better assessment in person than on the phone.
Hope everything is okay! x

popsycal · 20/02/2008 20:22

louii · 20/02/2008 20:27

Hope everything is ok, let us know.

mumblesmummy · 20/02/2008 21:06

Yep, ring. That's the only option we have here as there's not midwife on call.

It's definately the right thing to do.

Bug them all you want, feels like everyone makes you feel stupid for it, but it's your baby and their job so they can get on with it.
