Spent day in sun - worried

Had a day on the beach today (UK) and it was one of those where the wind was freezing so didn’t realise I was catching the sun.

Now I’m a bit burnt and feel quite dehydrated and tired. Got that shivery feeling where you’re not sure if you’re cold or hot after a day in the sun.

I’m 27 weeks could have I caused harm to my baby?

Drink some water and get some sleep.

of course a day in a bit of UK sun can’t hurt a baby. Think about the millions of babies born each year to women living in much hotter climates than ours, you’ll be fine x

You will be fine OP. Keep hydrated and have a good rest.

Rest and drink plenty. They recommend not to sit out in the sun when pregnant because your skin is more sensitive so you’re more likely to burn. And things like sunstroke/heatstroke aren’t good for you. Baby will be fine but you need to look after yourself too
