I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant with DC2 and have a c-section booked. My first DC was a planned section so I've never experienced labour at all! This morning I had what I can only describe as shooting/sudden cramping/tightening in my lower abdomen which took my breath away, on and off for a few hours. It seemed to subside during the afternoon but it's back again, since about 5pm! I've usually got a really high pain threshold but it's been making me shriek out a bit! It's a really sudden sharp pain! I've spoken to the maternity unit who've advised to call back later if it gets any worse- it may be braxton hicks or early labour. I wonder what others' experiences of early labour were? I haven't noticed my waters breaking, but I have noticed my boobs have become rock solid since around yesterday!
