5w 5d.. strange sensations & light brown creamy cm

Hello,

I’m currently 5w 5d pregnant with an early scan booked for the 2nd June. For a few days now I have been experiencing very light brown tinted creamy CM (I can add photos if needed - sorry if TMI) and a few (probably only once or twice a day) very mild cramps on either side. I am also experiencing a very strange feeling under my right rib cage, right at the bottom of my rib cage, it almost feels like a “full” feeling or a mild ache. I’ve had no spotting, bleeding, bad / prolonged cramps etc so I don’t think I have reason to worry but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced either of these symptoms?

I also don’t have many pregnancy symptoms but I’m assuming this is due to me still being so early. The ones I do have are shooting pains in my breasts, a mild cramp every now & again, tiredness and as of today, feeling sick / nauseous when I eat.

it sounds to me like your symptoms are kicking in! My symptoms kicked in with both of my pregnancies around week 5/6 … so sounds like you’re similar :)

im no expert but, like you say, I think the light brown-ness is nothing to worry about. If it was anything urgently sinister - like a miscarriage - you would likely be bleeding and it would get heavier. The symptoms would also stop, not start. I miscarried a few years ago and when I started bleeding, it all made sense; I had stopped feeling sick and tired, I had actually felt really well for about a week before.

Hey @bew96 :) I’m almost the same as you time-wise! I don’t have the discharge (but my health advisor said not to worry about spotting or discharge as you describe unless it’s heavy and cramps are really bad).

I also have the pain under the right rib cage! Exactly the same! And haven’t found anything clear about it online.

I had an early scan today and everything went well apart from me being much earlier than I thought I was but I’m book in for another scan on the 16th so hopefully this teeny tiny 3mm fetal pole continues to grow and gives us more to look at in two weeks 🥹 I’ve just posted a new post updating on how everything that happened today but I’m not sure if you can find it from here.. sorry, I’m new here 😅

I also had this at 5-6 weeks, all fine at the scans. 15nweeks now.

My second early scan got moved toward to today and I’m so happy to be able to update that I’m now measuring 6w 6d and baby has grown an amazing amount and now have a heartbeat. What a massive relief. I feel so lucky and I’m just so excited.

Ahhh that’s such lovely news @bew96 :) congratulations! I had an early scan today too (due to one sided pain) and saw heartbeat and measured 7 and a bit weeks (the ob/gyn is a family friend and was breezy about specifics)
