Sore Achey Boobs at 28 weeks

I'm 28+2 on pg3. Have noticed a few times in the evening that one particular boob has been a teeny bit leaky. Last night in the shower I felt a lumpy bit on the same boob and it was sore to the touch. When I squeezed a small amount of clear fluid came out of my nipple. I know that it is possible to be leaky at this stage (unfortunately!!) Today my boob is really sore, to the extent that when DD banged against me tears came, it feels hard, it reminds me of the pain after the baby is born when your milk comes in, time to send out your OH to get cabbage leaves to put in your bra I've been cuddling a hot water bottle all day for relief and thats helped a bit. Is this normal? Any advice on what I should do?
Thanks

hogwarts - can't believe you are 28 weeks already!! I always leaked from early on and the fluid sounds like that but not the pain. The pain sounds exactly liek when I had a sort of skin infection on my boob - hard lump which hurt like you wouldn't believe - went to the GP asap and got antibiotics. I would be tempted to go in and see them tbh - sooner seen the sooner you'll get it fixed if it is that.

Thanks NL. Its hard to believe 28 weeks already. How are you? Am currently on crutches with really bad SPD so sore hard boobs is last thing I want at minute - I'm already in bad form!!

Bump for you - they're all very quiet aren't they? Maybe try reposting in breastfeeding if no luck here??

hogwarts · 20/02/2008 21:04

Thanks NL - Its not that I dont appreciate your advice, just wondering if anyone else had the same??

NorthernLurker · 21/02/2008 10:24

How are you today Hogwarts?

hogwarts · 21/02/2008 19:32

Hi NL, Boob still sore today though not as sore as yesterday. Can still feel hard bits on it and its still tender if I or the kids bang into it. COuldnt get a hold of my midwife today so will try her again tomorrow.

SPD been a nightmare today, barely been able to walk and cried with the pain. Thanks for thinking about me!

I am only 9 weeks so far but boobs very sensitive and tender. By the sound of it I have alot more to look forward to. Unfortunatley can't help much

NorthernLurker · 22/02/2008 21:35

any luck with the midwife? So sorry about the SPD - when are you back at physio?

Sketchi · 23/02/2008 19:38

I'm 20 wks and all the way through this pregnancy my boobs have ached and been sore. They seem to give me pain as well, not very nice.

Odd cause with DD I only had sensitive breasts up to 12 wks, this is ridiculous. I'm glad (in a good way) someone else has similar thing going on.

Do you know what your having?

NorthernLurker · 15/04/2008 20:13

Hogwarts - was thinking about you tonight - it must be nearly D day isn't it? Hope you are ok.
