Tests getting lighter

I found out I was pregnant last Tuesday. I had really sore boobs and nipples and cramps. I got a 1-2 on my digital test.

Friday I got a 2-3 on my digital test, happy days

ive been doing boots strip tests also to check line progression and they were getting so dark even last night!

bur then overnight my boobs have gone back to pre pregnancy size and no soreness. I also feel so good and ‘unpregnant’ that I just feel like something is going to go horribly wrong!

@Lockdownbaby2021 sounds like it could be a chemical if tests get lighter and you lose symptoms

Don't do anymore tests! They are only to confirm pregnancy and not check progression, there could be a number of reasons why the recent one is lighter. I'm 10 weeks now and I've had a couple of instances where I've had the same as you, breasts stopped hurting as much and seemed to have shrunk and I felt 'less pregnant', but I think now it might have been in my head due to fear of a miscarriage because I'm defo still pregnant! Also the hormones may fluctuate from day to day tbf. Have you called your GP about booking an antenatal apt?

The last test just looks to have less dye. The test line is still darker than the control. Fingers crossed for you

OK thats good, I'd really advise to not do anymore tests and try to relax as much as you can until the apt. Otherwise you'll give yourself a lot of anxiety! Goodluck, I'm sure all is well x

I hate this early stage of pregnancy 😢 It’s meant to be joyous but always fills be with anxiety. But I definitely had more symptoms with my first and my tests only ever got darker so it’s got me concerned xx

It must be so stressful for pregnant women now to know they're pregnant so quickly. When I had mine (1970's) you didn't even count really until you'd got to 12 weeks.

However I've read many, many stories on Mumsnet of women who had negatives after positives, then a lovely baby, so I have everything crossed that you're the same @Bluebellgal8 xx

@suminagashi I wish I did find out later but when your a few days overdue your period with big sore boobs it’s hard not to test! 🙈 sounds ridiculous but just wish I had a bit of morning sickness to keep me reassured. Think I’m going crazy!

@Lockdownbaby2021 I totally agree, the first few weeks are so full of anxiety! Unless you've had any bleeding and/or cramping, I'd try and relax for now (easier said than done I know!). Fingers are crossed for you! X

No it doesn't sound ridiculous at all. In my time I'm sure I would have tested too. Also I should have pointed out that for those who found conception easy it must be great! For those with issues it must have been absolutely horrific, so please don't think I'm saying 'the good old days were better'.

What I meant was in the 70's ignorance was bliss until it caught up with you.

Just wanted to update you all for those who might find this thread and be going through the same. I continued to have mix between very dark and then so so faint tests up until 11 weeks. Went for my dating scan and have a perfect little baby cooking away!

I just wanted to jump on here. I have had darker tests up until 2 days ago then this morning its gone much lighter with spotting (I do have a bicorunate uterus which could cause this though)

Just wanted to say that this positive story has made me feel a little better and I just pray that I have the same outcome!
