Am I going to miscarry at 5 weeks?

Bit of a background story. Last month I got a 1-2 on a digital test and 2 days later it said not pregnant. I then started bleeding and miscarried early on.
Last Monday I got a 2-3 at 4+1 and was so happy! I decided to stupidly retest yesterday at 5+1 to see a progression and it’s still on 2-3. Am I heading for a miscarriage?
When I fell pregnant in August 2020 I got a 1-2 at 4 weeks and then 5 days later it had shot up to 3+. Am I panicking for no reason or right to worry?
I have been having some cramps as though my period is going to start but I’ve not had any bleeding yet. Trying to stay hopeful but fearing the worst.

5+1 is still only 2-3 weeks since conception so that’s correct.

I ovulated late so although technically I was 4+3 when I got my positive I was only 11dpo so was getting 1-2 weeks on clear blue.

Also they are not accurate. Some people never get 3+ on them but go on to have healthy pregnancies. They’re more of a novelty, midwives advise against them as they cause so much stress.

@PickledScrump you’re so right, I think I need to back away from the tests and just be happy that, for now, I am pregnant.
It was just because I got a 3+ so quickly the last time I was pregnant but I suppose every pregnancy is different.
Thank you for talking some sense into me!

@Littlemissc93 i completely understand feeling like testing helps. I did the same. I got past 6 weeks and mine started to get lighter which set me stressing. But I’m now 19 weeks. This is my third and only tested twice with each of my others and was fine. This time I had more tests in so tested a lot and my anxiety was terrible. They definitely don’t help

I got 2-3 at 5+1 and then took another one 90 minutes later and it was 3+ 😂they can't be trusted at all lol you could be on the cusp of turning 3+

I'm 8+6 now and everything's going fine so far.

Oh wow that was quick! Congratulations on your BFP and thank you for telling me a positive outcome! I’m just feeling really bloated and exhausted all the time.
Is this your first pregnancy?

@Littlemissc93 no worries. Early pregnancy is so stressful. This is my 5th pregnancy. I have 9, 7 and 6 year olds and one miscarriage in 2020. Bloated and exhausted is about all I felt at 5 weeks too. I'm not as bloated now thankfully but still exhausted and very emotional lol I'm one of the lucky ones who doesn't get morning sickness but the lack of symptoms does make me paranoid sometimes.

@Salamander91 Oh wow! They are nice age gaps, we wanted them close together so they’d have someone to play with. This will hopefully be my second baby (but 5th pregnancy) and I suffered last time with hyperemesis all the way through. It started at 6 weeks so I’m kind of dreading the weekend 😬

@Littlemissc93 it was great having them close together although hard work! The 6 and 7 year old are only 11 months apart. I'm a little worried about having such a big gap this time but they keep asking for a baby sibling so hopefully they'll all be good helpers 😊oh gosh I really hope you don't suffer this time! Hyperemesis sounds awful.

Littlemissc93 · 01/06/2023 18:10

@Salamander91 awww they’ll be the best siblings and the little one will pick things up so quickly! I think the sickness is starting, nearly threw up this morning and the pulling sensations haven’t helped 🤦🏼‍♀️ how have you been?

@Littlemissc93 aww no I'm sorry. I hope it isn't as bad as last time. I was really anxious this week so had a private ultrasound this evening. Baby is doing perfectly measuring 9 weeks 😊

Littlemissc93 · 04/06/2023 10:51

@Salamander91 the sickness comes and goes but I remember with my first it got worse and I was admitted the day of my 12 week scan! I’m really anxious today, convinced there’s nothing there but I know I need to calm down. That’s so reassuring you have seen your little one growing! My oh doesn’t want an early scan. We had one for our first pregnancy at 8 weeks and I ended up having a mmc. 12 weeks is a longggg time to wait though!
