25 weeks - movements become more internal/softer?

Before last Friday my movements felt pretty constant and quite big - you could see my tummy moving. Since Saturday the movements feel a lot more ‘internal’, still kicks but somewhere internal, I’m just not sure where! Not visible from the outside and because they’re internal they feel a lot lighter - I’ve been really busy and so it’s actually been harder to notice them (whereas the previous kicks you can’t miss). It feels like the movements have been reduced but I think it’s more being really busy and them being lighter means I don’t notice them as easily. I’m on holiday abroad so can’t get checked out. Is this okay ? If you had the same please send some reassurance!

It could be that the baby has changed position and is kicking more towards your back, whereas before they were maybe kicking the front of your uterus? I have had some quiet days where I don't feel the baby move much and been checked out and everything is fine. Starting to get more consistent kicks day by day at 28 weeks now.

I would definitely get checked out as soon as you're home if you're still worried! Most likely though, everything is fine

Babies at this time in their trimester usually pick up a routine and they sleep around 12-14 hours a days in your tummy but if you are having reduced movement or no movement atall definitely get it checked out not trying to worry you but better to be safe than sorry x

Agree with @sommeliermama baby could (& probably has, that's partly what the kicking's about) just changed position which will make it feel different. As my pregnancy went on/baby got bigger it felt different, went from feeling kicks to feeling more like a swoosh (don't really know how else to describe it). If you're worried when you get home do get checked x

I had a very similar experience to you recently. Week 29-30 (last week) I was so busy and stressed with work but I felt like the movements had really slowed down for a week. Prior to that I had big kicks/movements which were routine in the morning/afternoon/evening. I was worried even though I was busy I’d lay in bed at the usual time baby would kick and felt a lot less than usual, other than the very occasional wobble which as you say felt ‘internal’, at least that’s what I was telling myself!
Anyway I finally called the helpline and went to get baby checked out. Obviously as soon as I was sitting in the hospital waiting room for 2 hours baby started moving like crazy! All in all monitoring of baby was totally fine, and I have an ultrasound tomorrow for reassurance. Since that appointment baby has been moving like absolute crazy, so I feel a bit silly that I made a fuss, but ultimately it was a relief and probably Sod’s Law that as soon as I went to check it out baby got kicking again.
I do find the busier I am / when I was on holiday I noticed a lot less movements.
I hope that offers some reassurance that you’re not the only one who’s baby has gone through phases and isn’t consistently showing the same pattern, but I would recommend getting checked out when you get home, just for reassurance and to get this off your mind!
