29 weeks, feeling rubbish, is this normal?

I'm 29 weeks pregnant with my second, and just feel so 'meh'.

I've had a burst of energy in thr last 2 or 3 weeks and felt better, but now I just feel really flat and rubbish again. I'm extremely tired, feel very sick again, dizzy and just generally can't be bothered with anything.

I work with my Husband and am only working 2 days a week, but still just really don't want to go into work at the moment. I'm finding it hard to concentrate and just feel generally wiped out. I'm with our 2 year old 3 days a week who is super active and I'm finding a day with him just really exhausts me 🤦‍♀️ used to be very active before pregnancy and very motivated, so all of this is making me feel really rubbish and low.

Im due to go to hospital this morning and then into work, but honestly I just want to go back to bed 🤦‍♀️ and it's just been a 3 day weekend!!

Is there anything I can do to make myself feel better? I wasn't like this with my first (always have a rough first 24 weeks, but after that last time it went away) but this time round I feel really fed up and sick 🤦‍♀️

Sorry you're feeling like this! When did you last have blood tests?

I started feeling a bit rubbish again around the same time. Did you have bloods taken at your 28 week midwife appointment? I did and it showed my iron was a little low, nothing major but enough to have a prescription. I’m 32 weeks now and starting to feel a bit better. Could possibly be a factor for you?

@philautia @Thelazygardener I had bloods taken last week and haven't heard anything so assume they're normal. I do wonder though if I might be a bit sensitive and what shows as a normal rest result is actually a bit low for me. Not sure how safe it is to take an iron supplement when levels aren't showing as low though?!

Possibly, mine were only borderline but I don’t eat red meat and the midwife said it would only deplete as time goes on so popped me onto the prescription.

Are you still taking pre-natal supplements? They will have some iron in them, some more than others (I got a bit slack taking them after 15 weeks but I’ve started again now). You should be able to ask what the levels were on the blood test, mine were 116. I do feel a bit more with it now having taken them for 3 weeks and having bloods taken again next week.
