So I’m 4 days over my due date,

I’m currently looking for absolutely any advice on how I can get my stubborn baby to make an appearance please.

I have tried using my ball, in numerous ways. I have tried curb walking, and going for a long walk. My midwife attempted a sweep but she was unable to do this unfortunately.

Just any advice on what helped for other people would be amazing please. I really don’t want to be induced :(

People are constantly asking me and my partner if I’ve had any signs yet, and I’ve had absolutely nothing at all. I’m trying to relax as much as I possibly can, but it’s so difficult with people constantly checking in.

Thank you for any advice and suggestions

I am 40 weeks today and drank one cup of red raspberry leaf tea at 5pm and had my show 4 hours later with mild cramps.
Dont stress as baby will come when they are ready however if you wish to speed up the process, try drinking a cup of red raspberry leaf tea, eat a few dates and bounce on a birthing ball. Get as much rest as you can and try to keep your anxiety at bay. Good luck and wishing you a safe delivery.

I know it's.soooo annoying but baby will come when they are ready. I tried every trick in the book and DD arrived at 40+13!

Don't forget, if you've had a straightforward pregnancy and there are no concerns with baby, you can decline induction until a date you are comfortable with.

You can’t unfortunately - it’s a painful waiting game..

I went 40+12 with my first - I wouldn’t recommend it and didn’t do it second time around (had a section date booked to avoid).

Make sure to ask for extra monitoring if you go much longer, check the chord and fluid etc. they don’t offer it up.

Have you tried antenatal expressing? Lots of videos on how to start on YouTube.
Also ask your midwife to book you in for another go at a sweep 3 days after the last try.
Crossing my fingers that labour start for you soon
