Hi,

Any mums out there that got through COVID and labour? I’m 39 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and luck would have it that I catch COVID. I have mild symptoms and baby is kicking as usual. My midwife seemed calm about it as long as my symptoms remained mild and baby activity didn’t change. I’m a bit scared so I’m looking for support from anyone that has gone through this. My husband is so far negative and I’m hoping he can be with me in the labour ward.

Yep! Had COVID and went in to labour, just felt like a mild cold and I didn't have any tests so was blissfully ignorant.

Had a homebirth and then transferred in afterwards for a tear.

They tested me when I arrived at 9am. No one was remotely bothered, husband had it too. We just had a private room on the ward.

Oh that’s reassuring and a bit of bonus having a private room. Never even thought of that. Glad it all went well with you!

Yeah I reckon they’ll just put you in a private room. Don’t worry. Hope it goes well.
