I'm 35 weeks and feeling awful. I was 11 stone pre ivf and put on another stone during the egg collection/ steroid treatment. I haven't weighed myself in a few weeks but I reckon I put on about 5 stone (coming in about 17 stone). Before IVF I just to train and run everyday in the gym but was told to cut it out ttc.

I have been kind to myself foodwise but just wondering how long it'll take to lose the weight. After I deliver.i hope to breastfeed and will be calorie counting

Breastfeeding is a real calorie burner. And walking a lot with the baby will help you start to feel better in your body. I really enjoyed being able to go for long walks again after having my dd.

Breastfeeding is hugely physically demanding and you will be hungry all the time in the early months. But that will ease off once you start to wean.

It sounds like you are committed to losing the weight and you likely will. My advice would be to wait until you are really ready to focus on it so you don’t crash and burn. In the meantime go easy on yourself and get your steps in when you can.

Pregnancy is lovely but also really stressful!
I found that after my sons were born the weight came off both naturally and with a new routine. You'll be so ready to feel good you'll do it!
I put 5 stone on in pregnancy 🙈 but remember part of the weight gain is baby and fluid as well!
Be healthy and be kind to yourself because you deserve it after what you've been through!

Oh I had the opposite! I put on loads of weight breastfeeding (was heavier than when I gave birth by 8kg!!), when I stopped it practically fell off and more. In my NCT class of 6, 3 of us had the same.

It will be the steroids, once you’re off them and eating normal portion sizes you’ll be fine.
