I am now in my 2nd trimester and I have begun feeling weird pressure and pain in my vulva, specifically the top my vulva near the clitoris. Its heavy and throbbing and makes it uncomfortable to stand still for too long or sit in positions like cross legged. Is this normal? Googling reveals nothing because this pain isn't pelvic, it's more like the vulva itself, and a tiny bit of the vagina opening. And it's a throbbing heaviness. Should I be worried?

That sounds familiar to me. Have you had a look? Could also be swollen veins which is really common during pregnancy.

Vaginal varicose veins?

I’m 16 weeks and I’ve had this for the last 2 weeks, so I feel your pain! I’m going to mention it at my appointment next week with my midwife but I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. I think it’s just the increase in blood supply to the area and the pressure as baby starts to get bigger. I have read it could be varicose vains but I can’t see anything …

Gosh - I had this. It’s a joy! So many weird things happen.

I have this! I’m 30 weeks and have had it for the last month or so. I just posted a thread about possible varicose veins in the vulva, and I wonder if it is linked?
