Pregnancy symptoms stopped 5 weeks?

Hello,

I'm only 5 weeks pregnant but all last week I had really strong nausea, tiredness and sore boobs. I've woken up today and feel totally normal? I know it's early days but has anybody had anything similar and it not been a miscarriage? Just seems odd to have strong symptoms to nothing at all :-(

Hey Lillyg. :) I am 5 weeks today/tomorrow and I've been having the same thought all day. No panging sensation in womb area and this is the first day I'm not aware of my boobs feeling extra heavy and sensitive.

I wonder if it's our bodies getting used to the "new normal" hormone levels. First time pregnancy so have nothing to compare it to.

lillyg23 · 28/05/2023 17:23

Hey :-) I am exactly the same, not even felt a twinge today or a slight pain in the boob. It seems silly to want to feel symptoms, but now they've gone, I'm super worried. Please keep me updated, I'm sure you're right - our bodies are just adjusting to things!

Hi you two, I'm in the same boat here - actually logged on purely the post about the same thing! I'm still very tired, but the nausea and boob tenderness today has been negligible. Fingers crossed it's just that our bodies are adjusting to the changes.

silversquirrelll · 28/05/2023 17:29

@lillyg23 @DiscoStusMoonboots glad we can be of some comfort to each other! Yes, I can attest to the tiredness too. :) Are you both first time pregnancies too? x

lillyg23 · 28/05/2023 17:47

Are you 5 weeks too @DiscoStusMoonboots? Maybe it's a 5 week thing 😂At least you guys are still feeling tired, your bodies must be doing something.

Second pregnancy for me. With my first, I had constant symptoms from start to finish so probably why I am even more anxious. X

I'm 5 weeks today so it looks like we're all quite in synch! Having Googled around (I know that's not the best thing to do), a lot of the advice is that symptoms can come and go. Guess I just need to 'relax' a bit more and wait for the outcome of my scan (I'm an IVF pregnancy so have a scan a few weeks earlier than usual).

lillyg23 · 28/05/2023 18:22

Oh that's interesting that it's happened on the same day. Aww huge congratulations to you on your pregnancy. How many weeks will you be for your scan :)?

Thanks @lillyg23 - very (cautiously!) excited. I'll be almost 7 weeks for my scan. Just keeping everything crossed it goes well.

Blossom45 · 28/05/2023 20:03

Yep - symptoms can come and go! I had terrible
sickness, nausea, boob pain and so on, then one day (around 6 weeks I think) they all disappeared, the next day they were back so so much worse. This repeated a few times, then the sickness went altogether around 15-16 weeks to be replaced with heartburn. Easier said than done but try to relax and enjoy the days with no symptoms! Good luck with your pregnancies!

Oh and btw, my pregnancy resulted in a very happy healthy baby.

Just checking in to see how you are doing @DiscoStusMoonboots @silversquirrelll! Did your symptoms come back?

Hi all, same situation here, 5 weeks +1 today and had sore boobs all last week and tired but not sure if I am being paranoid but definitely don’t feel as tired or boobs feel as sore today. I do have a pressure in my abdomen though, not like a cramp just a pressure, it’s strange.
I’ve had 3 chemical pregnancies before this where my hcg never went up but this time my hog has doubled every 48 hours (had it checked all week) and scan on Wednesday so praying all ok!! It’s so worrying. Hope you all get the outcomes you want xxx

silversquirrelll · 13/06/2023 10:40

Hey there @lillyg23 how are you? :)

Symptoms have been up and down. Low-key nausea but no vomiting yet. Totally off tea this week which is a new one for me, I am a tea addict! Boob sensitivity is also changeable.

I have an early scan at 8 weeks, next Monday 19th, just need to know what's going on in there now! I am freaking myself out reading up on MMCs.

Good luck at your scan @Positive91 xx

@silversquirrelll good luck at your scan - just remember, what will be will be, it's easier said than done to relax but mmcs are more rare than regular miscarriages (1-5% of pregnancies) so your probability is good that everything is ok. I've had an mmc before and will be having early scans from 7+ weeks this pregnancy if I get there, as I'd rather know than not know if that makes sense xx

silversquirrelll · 13/06/2023 12:51

Thanks for the kind thoughts @moosey89 :) x

Positive91 · 15/06/2023 12:58

Hi, my scan went well thanks, they can see the yolk sac and got another scan next week for them to see baby! But she said it’s all moving in the right direction x

silversquirrelll · 20/06/2023 17:09

Really happy, also had 8 week scan yesterday, with heartbeat and everything in the right place! Baby resembles a blob however and had no definition! Looking forward to 12 week scan already. 😂

A lovely surprise everything is okay, as this week I felt more like myself and the nausea has been way down since week 6/7... Maybe we are the lucky ones with the very mild symptoms!
