Early pregnancy is really stressful. I’m 5 weeks now (second baby) and just don’t feel pregnant at all. I was very anxious in my first pregnancy, and still a bit apprehensive now.

My best tip is don’t read anything miscarriage related on mumsnet or online. There is a lot of talk of miscarriage (which is good because people are getting support), but it kind of makes you feel like it’s so common that it’s inevitable, which is definitely not the case.

Also, all the twinges are probably a good sign, I remember getting really sharp pains in my first pregnancy, especially if I stood up quickly. My DS is 2 now.

The other thing I tell myself is this: if I did have a miscarriage, I’m not going to feel any worse about it because I allowed myself to be happy a few days earlier.
