Hi All,

Went for my first scan at what I thought was 13.2 based on date of LMP.
Scan showed 14.6.
LMP lasted 2 days and was a bit strange.
Do I go off the dates of LMP or scan...or am I growing a giant?!

Opinions please.

I suspect your 'LMP' was actually implantation. I'd trust the scan!

It happened to us last time I went to my 12 week scan at 11 weeks 3 days and they changed it to 13 weeks 4 days . The thing is my daughter was conceived after a loss at 7 weeks and according to them 7 days after the loss ?? Weird but she was burn at 39 weeks by planned c section and she was huge at 9 pounds and if anything looked like she was “ cooked” a bit longer than she should .

My first was 9.1! Whichnis why I'm getting nervous!!

Personally I trust LMP more that my scan. But this is because I knew when I ovulated, and we’d DTD only once in 2 weeks. (DTD 5 days before OV). I have a regular / typical 28-30 day cycle etc. I worked out EDD as 13 and I had a scan that said it was 6. It literally wasn’t possible. I went into labour on 13…

We conceived the month I stooped tracking ovulation. But cycles are/were 19 days (or similar)

I thought I was 13+1 from LMP at my 12 week scan but measured 14+2. I was tracking ovulation and there's absolutely no way I could have conceived on the dates that aligned with the scan, however, those are the dates that the hospital went with. Baby arrived at 37+2 (according to the scan) weighing 7lb 3oz. If my calculation from LMP was correct, baby would have been four weeks early. In either case, he wasn't tiny for having arrived early so glad I didn't make it to full term.

Am so worried about how big this one is going to be!

This is my worry, so going by my dates I’ll be 13+6 when I get my 12 week scan, meaning if they move me forward I could miss out on the screenings that need to be done before 14 weeks. I don’t know weather to try and bring scan forward a few days but it was a nightmare trying to get my booking appointment sorted as they didn’t arrange that until I was 11+6 and couldn’t do it any earlier. It just seems like they are so behind and it’s starting to frustrate me x

@Purpleflowers21 I was told its due to the 3 bank holidays in May.
Now I've missed the screenings, which are very important as we had a loss due to Turner syndrome last year.

I had extremely regular cycles when I conceived so my midwife went off my dates and not the scan. Scans are not accurate anyway, well not 15 years ago anyway
