Hi all,

I just wondered if anyone has any experience in a mother and baby unit? I’m going there voluntarily tomorrow after my OCD has worsened. I’m 27 weeks.

Thanks

I lived in two when younger. They were both full of young ‘chavvy‘ girls which could be really stressful, but the staff were lovely and it was nice to have a bit of stability and feel safe.

In mine you were assigned a job to do at 9am every weekday such as cleaning the shared bathroom or living rooms, then all the residents would gather in the living rooms in the evenings to watch movies and order takeaway together. Other than that you just get on with life really, go out to see friends or relax in your room. They usually have good outdoor space for babies and toddlers too.
