Hi,

I wondered if anyone knew if I could become self employed to do 10 KIT days locuming instead of 10 KIT days at my employer while claiming maternity allowance?

You can be self employed while claiming maternity pay but you cannot do additional work for your employer other than your KIT days.

So I could become self employed while on maternity leave while claiming maternity allowance?

then no, not if maternity allowance. But you can if maternity pay.
