Breech baby

Since week 28-34 baby has been head down and engaged. Scan at week 34 and baby is now breech. Moved twice now as was first bum down and now feet in pelvis.

Due to previous pregnancy I’m due to have baby early. My last baby was born at 35 weeks via emergency c-section. I was really hoping to avoid this again as it was hell last time not being able to get about and I will have a 20 month old at home as well. Solo parent so it’s just me and support from family and friends.

Did anyone have luck at this stage with baby turning around? I’ve got my next scan in two days. tried doing some of the suggestions to help with baby moving but it all triggers my hg sickness. Hospital can’t try moving baby due to previous section they said.

That's difficult with your HG. I guess you've already looked at spinning babies?

There's a breech birth project called opti breech. They have quite a few participating hospitals around the country. You could try moving to one of these hospitals or just contacting optibreech for advice.

As Dr Stu from Birthing Instincts podcast says, 'breech is just a variation of normal!'.

Good luck!

My LO had his feet tucked into my pelvis for most of the third trimester. I wasn't originally going to have the ECV procedure out of choice but went along to the appt anyway, and ended up going for it (with no luck). They scheduled a CS procedure appt afterwards just as a matter of precaution, to take place a week after the date of the ECV. During the night (same night as the ECV appt) I felt this weird pinging sensation when I was asleep on my side - baby had freed his feet from my pelvis at long last. He remained transverse until the day of the CS, and didn't move to a head down position. I tried different things like various positions on a birthing ball, walking up the stairs sideways, special yoga-style stretches, none of them helped. Baby is here and happy and healthy :)

Hope the rest of your pregnancy and birth goes ok for you Flowers
