HCG levels not moving

I have no idea what’s happening at the minute and would appreciate some advice if anyone else has been in the same situation before.

I saw my GP 2 weeks ago for extended bleeding (3 weeks) she did an internal exam and couldn’t find anything untoward, but suggested I do a pregnancy test. I had a copper coil fitted 2 years ago so was very surprised that the test came back positive.

I was advised to go to A&E due to the bleeding and the coil who took a blood HCG test, this came back positive too. I was sent for a scan at EPAU who found my coil where it should be, but no sign of a pregnancy (they said this could be because it was too early).

I’ve now had 4 blood tests to check my HCG levels and nobody seems to be sure what they mean other than that they are low and the pregnancy isn’t viable.

The results have been:
Day 1 - 41
Day 3 - 44
Day 5 - 33
Day 11 - 41

Have they booked you for a scan at any point?
I'm afraid to say those results don't look like a viable pregnancy 😔

Not since the first scan, no. I’ve come to terms with the fact it’s not viable now, but I’m just confused as to why the levels have increased again. If it was a miscarriage I expected the levels would have decreased in the last week?

I feel like I'm suffering the same thing . My tests were extremely light on Friday when I found out I was . Then they wemt a bit darker over weekend amd then back to light yesturday and darker again today. However I am only 3 weeksish but I took a clearblue on Sunday afternoon which came back 1-2 weeks but my blood hcg reading yesturday was 27 . So I'm really confused and scared for tomorows reading. I Just know I've lost it 😔

It really is . Yet again the tests don't help as some are very dark,some very light. Some from the same urine pot, same test , one light , one darker . I've even had my first morning urine turn one light and second morning urine like 10 minutes later turns the test quite dark .
I'm doing my nut in not knowing haha

Could be possible ectopic? Have they said?

Have they done any more scans? I may be wrong but could it possibly be ectopic? Due to the coil having been in the correct place and them not seeing anything on the scan. Make sure they look after you regardless x

They’ve mentioned the possibility of an ectopic and asked me to keep an eye out for all the normal symptoms. At the minute they’re calling it a pregnancy of unknown location
