Morning ladies,

Just looking for some advice please I am worried sick.

I found out I was pregnant on Thursday of last week 18/05 on a CB digital I got 1-2 weeks and strong lines on other normal pregnancy tests.

I have had a bad feeling about this pregnancy, not sure if it is because I have recently had a miscarriage in March but I have just had a bad feeling about this all along and just something in my gut is telling me it isn't right.

I have continued testing since then just because I have a gut feeling and I still have strong lines on my normal tests but my CB digitals are literally all over the place. I had
1-2 18/05
2-3 20/05
1-2 22/05
2-3 23/05
Now this morning I am back to 1-2 on 24/05

These have all been with FMU and my last period was 16/04 so I thought I would be on 3+ by now but at least 2-3 solidly and not keep going up and down with it? I literally have no pregnancy symptoms at all either other than being a little bit tired.

I will try and get an early private scan booked in for the end of next week because the ones around my area you have to be at least 6 weeks.

Does anyone have any advice or have experienced anything similar and what was the end result? Please be honest. I am expecting the worst.

Thank you Biscuit

Honestly, the tests aren't reliable for checking progression so stop testing. And no symptoms also doesn't mean anything. This early stage is so hard, I hope you can settle into it soon and feel safe in your pregnancy. Hope it all goes well.

The tests aren't reliable at all, best to stop testing now.

There's no reason to have an early scan before 6/7 weeks as you possibly won't be able to see anything and definitely won't get a heartbeat which will cause you more worry.

Just hang in there.

GoodChat · 24/05/2023 06:51

After a certain point, those tests can stop showing even a mid term pregnancy due to the increase in HCG levels.

It's also early days for pregnancy symptoms.

But you've also got no miscarriage symptoms.

The first few weeks of pregnancy are the worst as there's just nothing you can do but sit and wait in limbo.

@oliveandwell thank you.

Have you had a similar experience with these tests?

I do try and stop myself from testing, but it's so hard. I just feel in my heart of hearts that something is wrong and I feel like these are giving me confirmation.

Also last time I was pregnant before I miscarried, I was using CB digital tests then and they were going up in weeks as I expected them to according to my last period before that and this time they are just totally all over the place.

Yes and if you read threads on here you will see that it happens all the time, it's like the tests are designed to wind you up.

I also went for a early scan at what I thought was nearly 7 weeks, I was only 5 and there was no visible heartbeat. That baby is now 1yo!

@GoodChat thank you, the main reason why I am concerned is because I used these in the same way last time I was pregnant and they were progressing as I would have expected them to and the dates would have matched up with my last period, ovulation etc.

But now I am just so worried that I can even go from 2-3 back down to 1-2 in like 4 days, surely it should rise!

Just going to try and stop testing now and then book an early scan for the end of next week.

Even if I cannot see anything on that scan I want to know that the pregnancy is at least in the right place. I am overthinking everything.

I am desperate for this miracle baby and just hope to god it all works out!

I had 2 miscarriages last over the last year and both times I had early scans which caused me so much stress as both showed subchronic haematoma, baby wasn't growing as they should but they couldn't confirm it for 2 weeks until I was scanned again... it was horrible living in limbo like that and nothing beneficial came from me being scanned early. This time round I waited and booked early scan for 8 weeks and got to see a proper little blob of a baby shape and a beating heart. It was MUCH more reassuring. You sound very anxious, understandably, but the tests seem to be making you worse because they aren't giving you the result you want and they are hugely unreliable. No matter what is going on in there it is out of your control. Spending a fortune on the clear blue digital tests that are making you more anxious doesn't seem like the best thing right now. If you have to test then why not wait a week?? Tick the days off, go for walks, have nice baths, read a book... just relax... and hopefully these things will help settle your heart and head. I am hoping all is well in your belly but don't let those little tests ruin this time for you xx

Morning lovely ladies,
I have stepped away from the CB digitals!
I took a FRER and a cheapie strip test this morning just because I wanted to see the strength of the lines and these are my test photos.
So I would make myself 5w4d today… what do we think? Xx

So worried I am having a miscarriage advice please?

Lovely and strong. Your FRER is a dye stealer. Can't get better than that!
