Badger notes

Anyone else's trust use Badger Notes?

If so, does it actually have any information on it? Mine never seems to be updated with scans / results so I'm clueless about what's going on.

Is this normal, or are my trust dropping a bollock on this one?

I use Badger Notes and it is updated after every appointment with all test results/scans etc. The midwife feeds the information in during the appointment. Perhaps your trust is only using Badger notes for the patient side rather than patient and clinician side?

I can see what blood tests I've had, but the results aren't published.

It's the only form of 'access' to notes I have - it's my first pregnancy, and it's only through hearing others talk about weights and centiles and measurements after their 20wk scan that I've realised I don't have access to any information at all.

I'll call the midwife and ask - I just didn't want to if it was actually normal for me to have no access to notes.

My trust have recently started using it. I had my booking appointment today and it’s updated already with my next appointment date, leaflets etc.

I’d contact your community midwife or mention it at your next appointment if you’ve got one soon!

@Squidger45 mines hit and miss, I have no scan info published at all so can’t see centiles either. Although my bump measurement chart has been added so it might be the midwife doing mine but not the sonographers maybe? How many weeks are you? X

Ljhunt · 23/05/2023 23:07

Mine don’t show anything on it. When the midwife was going through the scan report at my 16 week appointment I asked if I could get a copy or access to it and she said no

cant even see my iron levels from booking apt. It’s just bizarre

LBF2020 · 23/05/2023 23:10

@Squidger45 I didn't see the centiles on the app until I had my first bump measurement with the midwife at 25 week appointment. It's now showing on the fundal height chart.

I did get centiles on my print out from 20 week scan though.
I can also see blood results on patients know best platform if you have access to that?

Ah that's reassuring - 22wks. I'm not really too bothered, just struck me as odd that in other areas people have access to it all and I don't. Wondered if it was normal on Badger. Thanks !

My local trust had not long started using Badger Notes when I went for my booking appt. I declined them and was booked in using green notes as I don't want to be beholden to an app. The consultant I saw was pleased to see my green notes at my appt 😂

TMI2000 · 24/05/2023 11:47

@Squidger45 I'm not on Badger as my trust uses AirMid so not sure how different they were but I knew someone who was pregnant who was getting everything uploaded there (scan reports, test results) whereas I could only see my next appointments so I called my Midwife and turned out they had to update my access so that I could see everything that was uploaded.
Maybe Badger is similar and you're having a similar issue?

Astronaut1298 · 24/05/2023 18:55

My trust uses Badger Notes and I don't have any blood test results on it either. I had my blood test 5 weeks ago and thought i'd see the results but nothing on it still

All I see on it are upcoming appointments. I had a scan earlier this week and it just had my new Due Date on the bit where it says "Ultrasound"

I'm a midwife and our trust uses badger notes. The midwife/sonographer has to specifically tick the box for 'publish to badger notes' or nothing gets pushed through to your app. It happened quite a lot when the system first came in and people were getting used to it.
