Slight panic about imminent labour

Am due at the weekend with my second child and all of a sudden having a mild panic about going into labour. Last time round I was induced so already in hospital. We live almost an hour from our 'local' hospital and last time my labour was pretty quick so my midwife thinks it is likely to be even swifter. Panicking about suffering in agony for an hour in the car and/or having baby born in the car. Anyone got any reassuring stories to put my mind at ease? Last time round I was very chilled but all of a sudden feeling anxious...

How quick was your first? If It makes you feel better I was told by my midwife that my second would come quicker and it took longer. If you don't need to be induced this time your labour will likely feel different, I found with my induction contraction began much stronger than when I went into labour naturally. If you do go naturally then maybe head to the hospital as soon as you start the early stages of labour, one hour should be plenty of time to get there before the really strong contractions start.
