Preeclampsia - visual symptoms only?

Has anyone had preeclampsia before but only had the visual symptoms?

my visual symptoms have been steadily getting worse flashing lights etc but my blood pressure and urine was normal on Monday so the midwife wasn’t concerned. Going in for assessment at our local eye infirmary tomorrow but it’s playing on my mind

Flashing lights can also be caused by ophthalmic migraines and retinal issues - usually tears or detachments. If your BP is normal, it’s likely to be one of these.

You could ask the midwife to do your bloods and a urine PCR. It is rare but might put your mind at ease

They’ll be able to check you out at the eye department tomorrow. Go in early if you notice that you’re having difficulty seeing out of either eye.

Thank you both, I’m probably just overreacting but these symptoms are steadily getting worse since i saw her, third pregnancy but everything seems to have gone wrong so I think I’m just a anxious panicky mother this time round haha!

IME Mam's know best. I say that as a midwife. Hopefully nothing but I would rather be sure.

They didn’t really know what was causing the symptoms to be honest, said it was a bit of a migraine. My symptoms are getting worse day by day but they said that hopefully should go once I have the baby x
