Hi everyone I had a miscarriage in jan and I have my booking appt tomoz as I’m 8weeks. I was sat in the garden earlier and could feel that horrible feeling where you know your going to the loo and blood was in my knickers, as soon as I sat down more red blood went into the pan and when I wiped, I have put a pad on but now its like end of a period. I have no pain whatsoever whereas before I did. I have rang GP and no appts and as I’m not having pain EPU won’t see me. I have my booking appt tomoz do you think I’m ok to wait until then? I’m so worried 🥲

Sorry you’re going through this, it’s really stressful especially after a miscarriage.
EPU really should see you for a scan as guidance now is to give progesterone if there’s bleeding in a viable pregnancy in a woman who has had a miscarriage before, and I had a scan in similar circumstances following some painless bleeding.
Could you contact the midwives to see if they can get you into EPU?
Another alternative is to book a private scan.
Best of luck x

Thankyou for replying. As I haven’t had my booking appt, when they gave me that appt they said if there was any problems to ring the GP not them. I feel like I’m in the middle. I have just had a really nice receptionist at the GP ring me back saying she has spoken to the GP and unless I get pain try to relax as bleeding without pain isn’t always a bad sign. If no better ring in the morning. I feel a bit better after that phone call. I have had no bleeding or cramping up to this point just severe nausea so I thought it was a good sign. Today has just totally thrown me 🥲

I'm not surprised you're worried.
Lots of women do bleed during pregnancy though.
I did with one of mine and she is now thirty years old.
I'm not saying everything is going to be all right for you but please don't think that all is lost.
If you do get pain call 111 for advice
I really hope it'll be okay.

@CMG92 Hope your booking appointment went well and that you’ve got some answers now.

CMG92 · 24/05/2023 22:25

@Solongmarianne92 Thankyou, the midwife basically fobbed me off with you are under the Gp untiln12 weeks so just go to them with any probs like I have done. I have booked a private scan for tomoz to put my mind at rest :) hope your going along ok xx

I had red blood with dd2. Very period like. She’s asleep upstairs. It can be fine.

Darthwazette · 24/05/2023 22:32

Good luck for tomorrow. I had a lot of red blood with ds who is now 9. I woke up one morning with a big gush of blood, my underwear and the toilet bowl were soaked. It slowed down and I only had light spotting after that. I was on holiday in the USA at the time so went straight to an emergency department who scanned me and said all was well.

Superunknown1 · 25/05/2023 09:25

Hope all goes well for you today! I had brown spotting early on (6ish weeks) a big red bleed at 14 weeks, was certain I’d miscarried with that second one but all ok! Weird how it happens and often the doctors don’t even have an explanation for it. Hope this is the case for you x

StampOnTheGround · 25/05/2023 09:43

I had 3 lots of red blood in my first trimester, the last one was very dramatic and I was certain I'd miscarried. I'm currently watching my crazy 13 month old running round with his toys!

I hope it all goes well for you today x

Leapintothelightning · 25/05/2023 10:41

I have my fingers crossed for you today OP. Hope all goes well ❤️

CMG92 · 25/05/2023 15:20

thanks everyone for your messages unfortunately it’s not good news, pregnancy isn’t viable and seemed too small. They have referred me to EPAU tomorrow. Beyond gutted and heartbroken to have my 2nd miscarriage in 6months, good luck to you all x

Oh OP, I was hoping you'd get good news. That's tragic.

I had two miscarriages in six months too, and the third pregnancy was fine, so don't give up hope.

But obviously at the moment you'll just be feeling inconsolable. I'm so sorry.
It's a lot to come to terms with.

Solongmarianne92 · 26/05/2023 13:41

@CMG92 so sorry to hear this OP. Miscarriage is so heartbreaking. I hope you’ve got good support around you and that you can take some time to grieve x

CMG92 · 26/05/2023 20:24

@TheShellBeach @Solongmarianne92 they said the sac had developed fully and matched my dates perfect but there was nothing inside, my 2nd blighted ovum miscarriage. Now got to wait to see if it all passes on its own or if I need intervention next week. I go away next month so want it to be all out the way. Thanks for your kind words it’s just so gutting when it’s all we want is a family x
