Hey all,

Just really posing as an offload and to see if anyone suffering with the same thing? As it's really affecting my mental health :(

Prior to pregnancy I've always had excess facial hair with high testosterone to blame for it, I went for laser and got rid of it all and for what was left was only light blonde hairs. For years I never had to pluck/tweeze or shave only for the odd laser top up. Fast forward to pregnancy and I have awful facial hair growth thanks to the pregnancy hormones.

I feel so manly, and having to shave every 2 days is not making me feel like I have that pregnancy glow! I'm only 8 weeks and so anxious this will continue the whole pregnancy. Has anyone else ever experienced the same thing? I so wish I could do laser whilst pregnant but of course would never take the risk. Just feel so sad and miserable with my self esteem right now.

Can you epilate it? That’s what I would be doing.

Shaving will make the growth look worse.

Pregnancy does with things doesn’t it!!

I suppose lazor or luma is not allowed?

YESSSS! I have loads of hairs on my neck and chin. I am on the fuzzy side and would tweeze every so often but now I have thick new growth every few days. It really is depressing. No idea what can be done about it but read its because of increased levels of testosterone during pregnancy

I had this, and to make matters worse you can’t even get close to the mirror to pluck because of your bump! I went for waxing, and will go for laser when I have finished breastfeeding.

I'd be waxing that every week

But equally, you probably notice this a lot more than is noticeable by others.
