For background, I had a very big bleed at 12 weeks and the next day at the 12 week scan (where they put me at 13 weeks) they found a haematoma that caused the bleed. The bleeding stopped within 24 hours.
One week later I had some brown spotting that lasted 2 days.
One week following brown spotting started up again and has so far lasted 4 days. It is heavier than a week ago. I went to triage on Friday, they didn't scan me but baby's heartbeat was fine, cervix was closed and they took some swabs.
They didn't think the spotting was related the haematoma and said it is more likely I have an infection in my cervix, however I have had 2 rounds of antibiotics in the past 4 weeks for a UTI. I haven't had the swab results back yet.
I can't stop stressing and the only way I'm going to reassure myself is constant private scans. We do have a sexing scan on Saturday which I am going to upgrade to ask them to check the haematoma as well.
They said at this stage in pregnancy there isn't much else they can do at the hospital.
This is so distressing for me as we have lost a baby before, and we needed fertility help to get pregnant now. I am sure the level of anxiety I am experiencing is not helpful at all and I don't know what to do. I am 16 weeks tomorrow.
Did anyone else experience this and can you please share some positive stories? Or have any suggestions on anything I can request?
